Very nice people own this restaurant. And the food is delicious and satisfying.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. It's a hidden gem.
The prices are very reasonable. For $7.99 the chicken shawarma combo comes with a wrap grilled to perfection with your choice of toppings, french fries and a drink. What a great deal! The owner throws in a small container of lentil soup and a sample of baklava for dessert.
The decor is nothing fancy but the place is comfortable and clean. There's a TV on if you eat in. Parking was plentiful on a Wednesday evening.
Please try this restaurant to ensure it stays in business. You won't be disappointed. -

Suresh Doss recently tweeted support for this unassuming place, so I knew it'd be just a matter of time before I walked through its doors.
We showed up just before noon on a recent weekday and the place was pretty empty. I decided to get the Chicken Shawarma Bowl with Rice, and it was ready within minutes.
It's definitely a top-notch concoction. The chicken tasted fresh and juicy, while the various components contained within all worked really well together, although the hot sauce was perhaps just a little too vinegar-heavy for my liking.
(I was also a little disappointed that the chicken was lacking in those crispy bits you generally get with the best shawarma.)
Much as I enjoyed the food, however, I will say that the ambiance isn't great, since they had a TV news channel playing at what sounded like full blast. Kinda made it hard to have a conversation. -

Amazing value, very tasty shawarma and the man and lady who run it are lovely. They gave free tea and pastries.
UPDATE: Back again after a few months. Service is still amazing and combo shawarma wrap with fries and drink is such a great deal and really filling. Get the wrap with all the sauces! The plaza is a little tricky to get into from the other side of the road but well worth it. The home made baklava is great, get it for dessert. The bowl is also very filling, comes with salad, meat, rice, beans, fries and drink. Also the fries are like the Costco ones - so amazing. -

- Mom & Pop run "restaurant" (there are plenty of seats inside) that offers one of the most flavourful chicken shawarma's I have ever tasted.
- The male owner is friendly and gave everyone, even those ordering take-out, a sample of their piping hot lentil soup.
- I wish my chicken shawarma salad had more salad - I felt my bowl could have been filled more.
- The chicken shawarma wrap uses a thicker wrap than other places. They also don't create a pocket and put the items inside but they roll everything up so the wrap has more structural integrity.
**If you're in the area and need a bite to eat, stop by.
As other yelpers have mentioned this place stands out because:
1) The chicken shawarma is freshly sliced for each order. The man takes a knife and carves it off the spit. The result is large pieces of moist and tender chicken; unlike other places that use some type of electric shaver resulting in tiny pieces of dry chicken.
The chicken is marinaded with a variety of spices. First time I have seen the chicken with some yellow colour. It may be from turmeric used to marinade the chicken. Very flavourful.
2) The toppings and vegetables offerings are better than other shawarma places because of the variety and freshness. I actually tasted some mint and other herbs in their salad.
I also noticed that they don't douse everything with tahina or other spreads/sauces (garlic sauce, hummus and tzatziki). They actually let the chicken shine for itself.
